Strata Community Association NSW (SCA) is the peak body for the strata industry that steers the future direction of the industry. The association works to educate, lobby, promote professionalism and maintain a common code of conduct. As a board member of the SCA our Director Peter Brisbane liaises with government at Ministerial level on a monthly basis to ensure that Strata Communities interests are represented at the highest level.

Strata One is proud to have been awarded the best medium-sized Strate Business in NSW by the Strata Community Association Awards For Excellence. 

The award criteria included: unique selling points, growth strategies, innovation within the industry, success definition and measurement and how ethical behaviour is encouraged.

SCA (NSW) Professional Standards Scheme

Strata One adhere’s to the SCA (NSW) Professional Standards Scheme providing an independently verified way for clients to have the piece of mind that they are dealing with an experienced, compliant and professional company.

What is the SCA (NSW) Professional Standards Scheme?

The SCA (NSW) Professional Standards Scheme is formal commitment to consumers by the NSW Government to ensure high professional standards across the strata industry in NSW.  The NSW Government has approved the Professional Standards Scheme to be regulated by the SCA (NSW).

As members of the SCA (NSW) professional standards scheme, Strata One needs to adhere to the below requirements:

  • Continual Professional Development (CPD) requirements for Strata Managers and Licensees in Charge are approximately double the minimum legal requirement. This ensures that Strata One remains one step ahead of updates in the industry and any impacts on clients.
  • Adherence to the SCA (NSW) code of conduct within the structured professional framework as defined by the Code of Ethics
  • Providing clients access to an independent complaint handling process, ensuring that you can be assured of an independent review and response
